  • Overview

    The Program Management group within Pacific Insight, a Methode company, is seeking a Launch Support Coordinator.  In this role, you will work directly with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Program Management in order to facilitate internal and external change requests. In addition to being the Gate Keeper for all Engineering Changes, you will also assist in new product introduction and warehouse maintenance.  This is a pivotal role within our organization that will allow you to interface with senior leadership where your work can make a difference.

    Responsibilities

    • Review Engineering Change Requisition submission content with originator, ensuring all change requirements are identified including cost rationalization
    • Compile associated Manufacturing and Design release documents from principle process owners as they relate to Engineering Change
    • Update internal part management system, Item Master, Bill of Material (BOM), and Routings as they relate to Engineering Change requirements
    • Ensure targets are being met by task owners in a timely manner
    • Provide documentation control with all relevant Engineering Change outputs for system updating
    • Assist NPI, Program Management, Design and Manufacturing Engineering in any special tasks as defined by Management
    • Exclusively use AtTask for all relevant responsibilities According to PI Policy
    • Managing all Pre-Production, spot buy, orders across multiple car lines:
      • Daily checks in the Ford system
      • Supporting any additional assembly activity in Wixom to push parts out of the door on time
      • Delivering prototypes to customers when needed
    • Enter the BOM into internal part management system
      • Transferring BOMs from cost sheets (for new programs)
      • Entering BOMs for existing programs
      • Making sure that BOMs are active and ensure integrity
      • Monitoring design changes
    • Create PDF packages and initiate signatures process for parts to be released in document control
      • As soon as design is “frozen”, create PDF package with all prints and BOMs
      • Initiate signature process for package to get signed off by AE, PM and Plant Engineering
    • Manage the good standing of the warehouse
      • Make sure that all parts are properly identified
      • Make sure that prototype parts inventory is well organized and maintained throughout the Pre-Production phase
      • Receive incoming parts and shipping outgoing parts
    • Other duties as assigned 

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor degree with no prior experience required
    • Strong technical aptitude
    • Ability to work independently 
    • Excellent cross-disciplinary communication
    • Strong teamwork skills 
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks with dynamic priorities
    • Detail oriented with exceptional planning and organizational skills
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel
    • Spanish bilingual a plus 
    • Ability to travel 10%
