  • Overview

    Hetronic is seeking a dynamic individual for a position as a Software Engineer. The successful candidate will work in the engineering team to design & develop new products for Hetronic.

    Responsibilities

    • Design and development of embedded software for custom 400MHz to 6GHz RF products and control systems.
    • Create detailed software requirements documentation based on customer and internal specifications, reviews and clarifications.
    • Develop, implement, and document industrial quality embedded software algorithms in C/C++ based on software requirements and existing modular platform frameworks with expectations of future reuse.
    • Develop unit and integration level test plans and perform associated testing both on bench and in target applications.
    • Coordinate software issue investigation and resolution including bench and field level troubleshooting both internally and onsite with customers
    • Participate in global requirement, implementation and issue reviews both internally and with customers.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline from an accredited 4 year institution.
    • 2 to 5 years of embedded software implementation and design experience using C or C++ code.
    • Strong understanding of C/C++ code fundamentals and best practices, including keywords and pointers.
    • Understanding of 8-, 16- and 32-bit embedded microcontroller applications and architectures, including memory maps, analog and digital I/O, timers, watchdogs, PWMs, interrupt vectors, etc.
    • PC application development in C# .NET and/or Qt.
    • Experience in wireless products development.
    • Experience with software version control systems, especially Subversion.
