  • Overview

    Methode Electronics is seeking a Global Vice President Treasury & FX. This role will provide leadership, mentoring and oversight for Methode’s Global Treasury function. Responsibilities will include ensuring maintenance of global liquidity and financial stability; developing and maintaining policies and procedures related to treasury activities; and directing the development of financial policies for optimizing Methode’s capital structure including dividend policy and share repurchases. Areas of focus include working capital management, short and long-term cash investing, foreign exchange, and insurable risk management. This position will manage key external relationships including all banking relationships and rating agency relationships. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

    • Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and funds available for investment
    • Ensure sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
    • Proven track record of presenting to C-Suite and Board of Directors
    • Previous experience with pre/post M&A activities
    • Explore hedging to mitigate financial risks related to the interest rates on the company's borrowings, as well as on its foreign exchange positions
    • Coordinate capital market, money market and cash management activities, including borrowing strategies and shareholder return policies, payment and collection systems, and investment cash equivalents/marketable securities
    • Establish and maintain investment and commercial banking relationships and rating agency relationships
    • Member of deferred compensation and 401(k)committees
    • Arrange for equity and debt financing as required
    • Ensure the full integration of multiple banking platforms
    • Advise management on the liquidity aspects of its short- and long-range planning
    • Oversee the extension of credit to customers
    • Maintain a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over treasury activities
    • Perform other duties as assigned 


    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
    • MBA preferred
    • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience, some with an international company
    • Proven knowledge of foreign currency transactions and international exposure associated with a global company
    • Excellent financial modeling skills using Microsoft Office products
    • CPA or CTP designation highly desired
    • Have a working knowledge of ASC-815 "Derivatives and Hedging"
    • Relevant experience in financial/risk management, insurable risk management, and cash management is highly desired
    • Ability to work effectively across functional areas
    • Travel up to 10% of the time, including international
