    Methode Electronics is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our Corporate HR team In this role, you will be responsible for supporting, managing and implementing Human Resources strategies, programs and processes for a variety of businesses within Methode Electronics under the direction of our Human Resources Director.  You will provide professional advice and consultation to department management in the daily execution and delivery of Human Resources programs and initiatives including the areas of employee relations, compliance, performance management, employee development, employee engagement and retention, training, compensation, staffing, and policy interpretation.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide guidance to all employees to ensure consistent adherence to HR policies, procedures and practices
    • Assist in the development and implementation of all Strategic HR management programs
    • Organize and conduct new employee orientation; creating a positive first experience of the company and serving as a role model.
    • Manage the off-boarding process including conducting exit interviews and analyzing turnover
    • Partner with vendor to develop and maintain the affirmative action and EEOC plans
    • Assist in managing Worker’s Compensation Insurance issues, including making recommendations to facilitate the timely closing of claims
    • Act as an employee liaison for Leave of Absence processing with external provider as well as compliance and tracking
    • Coordinate, facilitate and/or assist in all training activities including new hire orientation programs, performance management including development planning, safety compliance and training tracking
    • Facilitate timely resolution of Employee Relations issues while maintaining an appropriate balance between employee and management advocacy
    • Counsel managers and supervisors on disciplinary actions, procedures and appropriate documentation
    • Participate on business unit safety committees to further raise awareness and drive a culture of safety
    • Conduct wage salary analysis for hourly workforce including maintaining current position descriptions and market comparisons
    • Input and maintain employee data within the HRIS system and prepare HRIS reports as needed
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor degree in Human Resources or related field
    • At least 3 years work experience in a HR Generalist role preferably within a manufacturing environment
    • PHR Certification desirable
    • Ability to work with little or no supervision
    • Demonstrated experience working through Employee Relations concerns in a non-union environment
    • Ability to analyze HR data and metrics
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, and PowerPoint)
    • Ability to build trust and confidence with employees and leaders
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to travel locally 
    • Up to 10% domestic travel
