  • Overview

    Translates product design into working manufacturing plans.  Identifies the process, procures the equipment, and launches the assembly line by performing the following duties


    • Knowledge of power connector technology.
    • Test and identify root cause and implement corrective actions for high-reliability and high-performance power electronics devices like inverters and converters.
    • Develop and implement standard work through lean methodologies.
    • Collaborate with cross functional teams to reduce defects and implement new products
    • Propose and enter Engineering Change Requests and work with Design Engineering to implement and validate changes
    • Assist with new product development validation and verification through in house and third party testing
    • Assist with new product development transfer to production
    • Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
    • Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
    • Lead projects to improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout by employing lean methodologies.
    • Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
    • Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; and implement cost reduction initiatives
    • Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
    • Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.


    • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing processes including electrical testing or formilliar with electrical testing, FMEA's, Process flow's, excel, Green Belt.
    • Must be proficient at Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to interface with all disciplines in the manufacturing facility.
    • Must be organized and able to meet timeline requirements.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
