    The Senior Financial Analyst works closely with the Sales, Engineering and Launch teams of the Methode North American Automotive Division, and supports them with financial analysis, cost modeling and cost tracking.

    Responsibilities

    • Partner with Program Management, Sales and Marketing to help drive business decisions
    • Responsible for reporting and tracking development project spending (Tooling, Capital, R&D, ED&T, Engineering timekeeping and tracking)
    • Monitor and analyze program spending versus Budget and Forecast
    • Update pricing models to reflect program changes that impact cost and profitability
    • Lead Budget and Forecasting process for R&D group
    • Review and approve purchase requisitions
    • Conduct Project Cost Status reviews with Program and Launch Managers
    • Work with Engineering on Capital Requests tied to new projects
    • Ad hoc financial analysis such as make vs. buy, resourcing, CAR, etc.

    Qualifications

    • 10+ years of related experience, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment
    • Bachelor Degree or higher in Business Administration or Finance
    • Strong ability to interact and communicate with cross functional teams
    • Flexibility and initiative in taking on new roles and responsibilities as business situations dictate
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to details
    • Manufacturing experience preferred but not required
    • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize a rapidly changing set of objectives
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office products
    • Advanced level Excel skills (Pivot tables, macros etc.) is a big plus
